Annex; an.nex, Br. also an.nexe (aeneks) n. a building attached to, or depending on, a larger building
There’s an art evolution going on in Lancaster, PA. With over 80 different vintage shops and art galleries in the Downtown Art District, including multi-artist galleries, artist co-ops, auction forums, industrial art, glass, ceramics and wood, the scene is bustling and ever-evolving. Not to mention the Fulton Theatre, Convention Center and Barnstormers Stadium and of course its keystone; Downtown Lancaster’s Central Market.
Since the privately owned and operated Annex 24 Gallery hit the scene, it has been referred to as a fresh approach for very hip, creative art with bold and truly unique gallery presentations.
The gallery is hosted and curated jointly by two of Lancaster’s noteworthy artists; Vanessa Reisig & Kenny Kidd. Their art gallery combines not only photography and paintings into a refreshing exploration of contemporary art. Their gallery also boasts a ‘Wowzer Room’ reserved for premier artists’ monthly installations as well as select ‘Home Grown’ Lancaster artist exhibits.
Situated at 24 West Walnut Street, Annex 24 Gallery conveniently connects Downtown Lancaster’s Gallery Row & the North Queen Street Antique and Collectable Shops. The location affords visitors a looped travel pattern to navigate the downtown city streets, see the sights and enjoy the spirit of Downtown Lancaster.
